Ruby Triathlon is a community-driven tradition begun in 2023—born from a shared love for Ruby, meaningful connections, and the unique energy of conferences. It invites enthusiasts to attend three Ruby conferences in a row, without returning home in between.
It’s not a race or a competition. It’s about connection, growth, and experiencing the diversity of Ruby communities across different countries. Each stop along the way offers new opportunities to learn, exchange ideas, and build lasting friendships.
The Ruby Triathlon is back for its fourth time and this year we invite you to a journey across three vibrant European cities in May:
- Rubycon Italy — Rimini, Italy — May 8
- Balkan Ruby — Sofia, Bulgaria — May 15–16
- RubyConf AT — Vienna, Austria — May 29–31
Whether it’s discovering new ideas during talks, meeting fellow developers over coffee, or simply exploring a new city together, the Ruby Triathlon is as much about the moments in between as it is about the conferences themselves.
Participation is simple: there’s no special ticket required. Just secure your spot at each conference and join the journey. Those who complete all three stops will receive a special prize in the end, celebrating their commitment and the spirit of the triathlon.
